Washington Women’s Foundation Accepting Letters of Inquiry for Pooled Grant Cycle

Deadline: November 30, 2012 (Letters of Inquiry)

The Washington Women’s Foundation is accepting letters of inquiry for its 2013 pooled grant cycle.

Each year, the foundation awards five grants of up to $100,000 each in the areas of arts and culture, education, the environment, health, and human services. The foundation seeks to fund projects that respond to an urgent and critical need, represent a bold new venture, and/or represent a new approach to ongoing problems.

Only organizations qualified under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) or 7871 as tax-exempt entities, or groups with an eligible fiscal sponsor, providing services in the state of Washington are eligible to apply. Funding for special projects, operating expenses, and capital campaigns will be considered. Funding requests for endowments and out-of-state projects will not be considered.

Letters of inquiry must be submitted by November 30, 2012. Full grant proposals are accepted by invitation only. Twenty-five organizations, five in each of the funding areas, will be selected to submit full proposals in February 2013.

Visit the Washington Women’s Foundation Web site for complete program guidelines, an FAQ, and the letter of inquiry form.
