RIVERSIDE, Calif. – UCR ARTSblock’s Sweeney Art Gallery & Culver Center of the Arts present Thank You For Coming, the annual senior exhibition featuring thirty-three graduating Bachelor of Arts students from University of California, Riverside’s Department of Art. The works in this year’s exhibition were selected and curated by the faculty in UCR’s Art Department.

Every year, undergraduate art majors graduating from UCR have their final work in the senior exhibition at the Sweeney Art Gallery & Culver Center of the Arts that feature paintings, photographs, drawings, installations, and sculptures. Among the Art Department’s distinguished faculty are John Divola, Jill Giegerich, Jim Isermann, Brandon Lattu, Charles Long, Erika Suderburg, and Amir Zaki.

Artists in the exhibition: Thilini Abeygunaratne, Jonathan Aceves, Jacob Adame, James Barsalou, S. Bekey, Jeffrey Bowie, Kiarra Elliot, Katelin Gates, Genevieve Celeste Hazboun, Alex Hwang, Yehsiming Jue, Jinyoung Ko, Kazuko Kruse, Jorel Ledezma, Joan Lee, Fang Li, Tiffanie Lin, Joel Lovos, Kayla Madison, Jennifer Martinez, Sarah Moore, Jordan Morales, Breeann Ochoa, Vincent Pickering, Katie Reed, Sarah Reed, Luog Saepharn, Cecilia Saldivar, Irin Son, Elizabeth Valencia, Karen Yi, Zaid Yousef, and Wei Yu.

University of California, Riverside’s Art Department and the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (CHASS) has provided support. Thank You For Coming: Senior Exhibition 2013 is organized by UCR’s Art Department and Sweeney Art Gallery.

UCR ARTSblock is located at 3824 & 3834 Main St., Riverside, CA 92501, and includes three venues: California Museum of Photography, Culver Center of the Arts, and Sweeney Art Gallery, which are open Tuesday through Saturday, noon to 5 p.m., plus 6-9 p.m. for First Thursday ArtWalks. Admission is $3, which includes entry to all three venues, and is free during First Thursday ArtWalks (6-9 p.m.).
