Jeremy Fisher: UC Studio: an Interdisciplinary Research Proposal for an Active Design/Build Studio

Jeremy Fisher (Berkeley / Science & Architecture) Graduate Student
Social Ecologies Planning Grant

Part of project includes a series of stakeholder meetings, which will be used to establish a UC Studio course for interdisciplinary and inter-campus sustainable infrastructure design/build project. This project recognizes that there is a unique opportunity  for students in the UC system to take an active role in the community and contribute to a growing body of climate change research and education. To demonstrate the interconnectedness of climate change and the built environment, and to bring design students into this crucial dialogue, UC Studio will have a design/build focus and contribute to the master-planning and infrastructural improvements at the UC-run Blue Oak Ranch Reserve (BORR).
