UC Santa Cruz presents: It’s a Wonderful Life – A Live Radio Play

originally posted by UC Santa Cruz

When: Friday, November 15, 2013 – Sunday, December 8, 2013
Where: Mainstage Theater, Theater Arts Center (UCSC)

Presented by: Shakespeare Santa Cruz
Theater Arts Department

Nine actors perform dozens of characters from the beloved 1946 Frank Capra movie — all in the style of a live 1940s radio broadcast. Complete with amusing jingles and classic sound effects produced right on stage, the play has become an annual favorite in cities across America.

Written by Joe Landry. Directed by Nancy Carlin who staged last year’s production of “Honk!”

The annual holiday show is a co-production of Shakespeare Santa Cruz and the UCSC Theater Arts Department.
