The World Music Series continues with the UCSB Jazz Quartet
The UCSB Jazz Ensemble, directed by Jon Nathan, presents a quartet of advanced jazz musicians playing music drawn from the modern jazz repertoire.
The WORLD MUSIC SERIES takes place every Wednesday at noon in the Music Department’s outdoor Music Bowl.

Convocation with Gabriel Kahane
Considered “a leading voice among a generation of young indie composers redefining music for the 21st century,” Gabriel Kahane’s compositions and performances range from “dense modernism to spare vernacular.”
Before his scheduled Arts and Lectures performance, Kahane will participate in the Department of Music’s first Convocation with a Q&A moderated by Professor Derek Katz.

Musical Life After UCSB Featuring ALO
The UC Santa Barbara Department of Music is proud to announce the first in a new series, Musical Life After UCSB. Join professor Jon Nathan for a Q&A with the members of the Animal Liberation Orchestra (ALO) as they explore the question of “What the heck you can do with a music degree after college?”
