Shelley Streeby and Ash Eliza Smith (UC San Diego): $5,000 for Are We Alone? Open Classroom.

Are We Alone? is a course that will bring together faculty in literature, art, and science for a large-enrollment, first-year course reaching approximately 600 students. The CAT program will work in collaboration with The Arthur C. Clarke Center for Human Imagination, the Calit2 Qualcomm Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology, and the Clarion Writing Program to facilitate and document a public exhibition and showcase that will feature guest speakers and student projects.
