The exhibition documents Artist Dominic Paul Miller’s project in collaboration with a group of engineers from the Jacobs School of Engineering. Together they constructed an off-grid desalinization system to be located at Red Hill Marina near the Sonny Bono Riparian Habitat at the Salton Sea. The sculpture uses solar energy to evaporate water from the sea and gather precipitated salts. Please join us for a reception on June 7th from 2-5pm at the Structural Materials Engineering Building, Rm. 201 at UC San Diego.
The Experimental Sculpture and Painting Studio Initiative is led by UC San Diego Visual Arts Professor Jennifer Pastor.
