The 2012 Blue Horizons Summer Environmental Media program will premiere 4 new documentaries about our local coastal and marine environment. Come CELEBRATE the end of summer and the achievements of our student filmmakers! Seating is limited – reserve your free ticket now.

Student Films
The Blue Horizons Environmental documentaries are currently in development and cover a broad range of environmental issues in and around the Santa Barbara Channel including – sea otters, whale stikes, the plight of the pelicans, and homelessness in our rivers. This year’s filmmakers and the working titles of their films are:

No Otter Zone – Filmmakers: Spencer Bruttig, Nick Dasilva, Clinton Reynolds, and Mark Romanov.
Silver Bullet - Filmmakers: Nick Deliberto, Ashley Greene, Liat Krongrad, Spencer Sheehan, and Mallory Smith.
Eviction Day – Filmmakers: Matt Linkin, Jake Martin, Osman Noor, Ian Vargas, and Chloe Vaught.
The Pelican Grief – Filmmakers: Bryan Cubias, Marcee Davis, Gina Romero, and Dakota Slama.

Blue Horizons Summer Environmental Program is part of the Environmental Media Initiative of the Carsey-Wolf Center, UC Santa Barbara. Appreciation goes to the students of UCSB through the Associated Students Coastal Fund and to UCSB Summer Sessions for their generous support of the 2012 Blue Horizons Summer Program.
