The Stumbling Present: Ruins in Contemporary Art

Selected artists will be on hand to discuss their work.

The Stumbling Present examines the haunting rendering of ruins produced by artists in the last decade, a period marked by global terrorism and a
worldwide financial crisis. Harnessing the imagery of neglected or willfully destroyed and decayed places and objects, the participating artists address themes of failure; transformation; and memory and obsolescence. The Stumbling Present includes drawing, film, installation, painting, photography, sculpture and video.
