Mark Morris Dance Group’s “seriously entertaining” (San Francisco Chronicle) take on The Nutcracker, The Hard Nut, returns to Berkeley. Featuring Mark Morris’s imaginative and beautiful choreography, Adrienne Lobel’s comic-book scenery, 32 dancers, 116 costume changes, robotic rats, thousands of flakes of fake snow and the complete Tchaikovsky score—performed live by the Berkeley Symphony Orchestra—The Hard Nut is a widely anticipated family holiday event and a dance touchstone for the Bay Area.
