Louisiana Filmmakers Grant Fund Program Announces Production Funding Guidelines

Deadline: July 1, 2011 and January 1, 2012

An initiative of Louisiana Entertainment, the Louisiana Filmmakers Grant Fund Program works to support Louisiana’s independent filmmakers by providing funding for new productions to be filmed in the state.

The program is open to Louisiana residents who have had a consistent presence in the state for the last three years. The applicant must be the principal creative author of the production and hold complete artistic, creative, and budgetary control.

Eligible projects include documentaries, feature films, television pilots and series, Webisodes, animated feature films and television shows, experimental shorts, and more. To be eligible, a production must be filmed entirely in Louisiana.

Grants will provide no more than 50 percent of a project’s budget, and no grant will exceed $25,000.

Applications will be accepted from June 1 to July 1, 2011, and from December 1, 2011, to January 1, 2012. Applications will not be accepted outside these submission periods.
