Kiki Niebuhr: Sensual + Wholesome Disgust: A Collection of Performance and New Media Works

• Kiki Niebuhr  (UC Santa Barbara): $1,000.00 for Sensual + Wholesome Disgust: A Collection of Performance and New Media Works

A Series of studies involving Performance and Object work exploring the pulse between sex, technology and interconnectivity in contemporary culture
 – “This Is A Man’s World”- Performance Artwork in which I wear a pair of size 13 steel-toe men’s boots and various silk-screened garments with images of hairy men’s bodies, everyday for a week.
-“Lick Me”- Performance Artwork in which I cover my entire body in Nutella and invite students and/or gallery goers to lick off Nutella.
- “Sexposed?” – A crafted redwood bedside table that has a glass top, that exposes the contents of the first drawer (mainly black sex and fetish objects and photos of other students ‘secret’ drawers).
As a Conclusion and Solution to these studies:
-“The Picnic Project”- A Multi-Disciplinary Work that prompts new forms of interactions though social script interventions via scheduled ‘picnic’ interactions in Isla Vista Parks.
