Job Opportunity with the GRAMMY Foundation and MusiCares Foundation

POSITION: COORDINATOR, ANNUAL GIVING

Working under the direction of the Vice President of Development of the GRAMMY Foundation and MusiCares Foundation, the Coordinator of Annual Giving will be primarily responsible for developing and managing an annual individual donor campaign for both Foundations.

Responsibilities include:
- Plan and execute a comprehensive program of annual individual donor campaigns for both the GRAMMY Foundation and MusiCares, programs to be inclusive of annual giving, phone and targeted written communication.
- Identify and organize prospects and solicitation lists by foundation through data collection from Raiser’s Edge, event guest lists and outreach to development and program staff.
- Establish Annual Giving plan with goal of increasing number of donors participating through the creation of Giving affinity groups (societies, circles, friends, etc.).
- Coordinate communications to both current and prospective donors utilizing Foundations Newsletter and targeted letters of appeal.
- Prepare and implement plan to accurately track results of appeals and outreach.
- Work collaboratively with Foundations Development team to manage fund raising database (Raiser’s Edge).
- Organize (where appropriate) donor receptions, meetings, program tours to cultivate gifts and longer term relationships.
- Assist senior staff in planning and managing appropriate recognition program for annual donors.
- Identify opportunities and implement plan for support from corporate matching gift programs for individual employees.
- Utilize all major fund raising events and education programs as cultivation and solicitation opportunities.
- Where appropriate, identify major gift prospects ($5,000+) for cultivation contact by senior staff.
- Provide comprehensive reporting on results.

Qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in an Annual Giving setting preferably in education, foundation or social service sector.
- Experience working with donors, volunteers and professional program staff. Previous direct donor cultivation and solicitation experience preferred.
- Experience in digital fundraising and/or customer relations management, including social media campaigns, online giving, etc.
- Demonstrated experience in accessing and aggregating new sources of annual donors (i.e., lists, associations, groups, etc.).
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and in the use of Raiser’s Edge fundraising software.
- Attention to detail with the ability to compose grammatically correct and properly formatted correspondences.
- Goal oriented and results focused with the ability to initiate activities independently and work effectively as a team member while communicating ideas clearly.
- Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize to meet deadlines.
