Heirloom Garden Art

Are you an artist inspired by heirloom gardens? Gardens are unique expressions of a
gardener’s hand. Heirloom varieties are a reflection of the diversity of gardeners’ sensibilities,
palate, and notions of beauty.

The Art of the Heirloom is an exhibition of artists’ interpretations and contemplations of
heirloom vegetables, flowers, and herbs and the cultural importance of preserving our
collective garden heritage.

We seek works of art that are inspired by heirloom gardening. Works may be visual or
conceptual interpretations on this theme. Works in all media and formats will be considered.
The National Heirloom Exposition Garden Art Exhibition is being curated by the Hudson Valley Seed Library, known for its unique artist-created seed packs, and Heirloom Home and Studio, a ceramic design studio and retail shop featuring their own porcelain garden-to-tableware collection. Prizes will be awarded in several art categories.
