USArtists International, a project funded by the National Endowment for the Arts and administered by the Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation, is committed to ensuring that the impressive range of expression and creativity of the performing arts in the United States is represented at international festivals abroad. The program works to strengthen the creative and professional development of American artists by providing support for their performances at significant international festivals. Through the participation of exemplary artists in international festivals, USArtists International will help develop audiences for, and appreciation of, the excellence, diversity and vitality of the American performing arts.


Grants are available to American dance, music, and theatre ensembles and solo artists that have been invited to participate in international festivals outside of the United States.
