Lewis Watts: Evidence: Making the Hidden Visible

Lewis Watts (UCSC Art) Faculty

Artist Statement: My research and artwork centers on the photography of African American cultural landscapes, where people live, how they occupy and use space, and the traces they leave behind. I am interested in the cultural roots of architecture and both the intentional and unintentional manipulation of space. This web site exhibits samples of my body of work spanning 30 years.
