The goal of these two workshops is to gather community input and guidance in drafting a plan for implementation of a Cultural and Public Arts Master Plan for the City of Santa Barbara for the next 20 years. Victoria Hamilton, will be leading the two workshops to gain community input in the process. Victoria has extensive experience in developing cultural and public arts Master Plans and programs for the City of San Diego.

To help prepare you for the workshop, resource documents have been posted on the Arts Commission website to provide background information and a general overview. They include:
· Regional Arts Master Plan (1987),
· Regional Arts Master Plan (Executive Summary),
· Public and Cultural Art Master Plan Draft 2010, and
· Economy and Fiscal Health Element from City Master Plan

I encourage you to make time in your schedule to attend these workshops. The Regional Arts Master Plan (RAMP) developed in 1987 shaped and guided much of what has resulted in our current cultural arts landscape and Santa Barbara’s recognition as a Cultural Arts Destination. It’s now time to move forward with a vision and strategy for the next 20 years.

Please RSVP to lyn@sbartscommission.org . For more information contact Ginny Brush, Executive Director at 568-3990.

Funding for these workshops has been provided by a Technical Assistance Grant from the California Arts Council.
