California State Parks Special Interest License Plate and art contest
For California artists

MAY 1 2014 – JUNE 15, 2014

Be a Part of California State Parks!

You are invited to participate in a design contest for art work which will be used for a California State Parks Special Interest License Plate. The winning design will be displayed on potentially millions of vehicles in California and wherever California vehicles travel nationwide. Proceeds from the sale of the California State Parks License Plate will help support Restoration and Preservation of our State’s 280 State Parks.

The donated artwork must depict a California Redwood Tree, an iconic feature of California State Parks, and will cover the full face of the license plate. The artwork must be an original, unpublished, donated work. No name or identifying information may appear on the artwork itself. The contest is open to all California residents. However, California State Park employees are not eligible to enter. The winner of the contest will be announced on June 30, 2014 on our website. Availability to commence purchasing of the Special Interest License Plate is anticipated to commence September 1, 2014.
