Art|Sci Center + Lab presents: “Design is One: Screening + Discussion”

when: 2014-10-09, starts at 5pm
where: EDA, Broad Arts Building

Thursday, October 9th
EDA, Broad Arts Building

Design is One charts the life work of two of the world’s most influential designers,  Lella and Massimo Vignelli. Their work covers such a broad spectrum that one could say they are known by everyone, even by those who don’t know their names. Luminaries from the world of design – from architects, Richard Meier and Peter Eisenman, to graphic designers, Milton Glaser, Michael Bierut, and Jessica Helfand – bring us into Vignellis’ world, capturing their intelligence and creativity, as well as their humanity, warmth, and humor. A discussion with the film’s director, Kathy Brew, will follow the screening. Watch the trailer HERE

Design is One has been screened across the world, from film festivals in New York and New Zealand to theaters in Thailand and Beijing. Director Kathy Brew’s career spans experimental work to independent documentaries and television productions, having worked on such acclaimed projects such as Regret to Inform and Rabbit in the Moon.
