Artist Calls and Opportunities: Friends With Karma

Friends With Karma
For SF Bay Area artists

Deadline: 12-15-2014

Selections by Peer Review

Become a Pro Arts’ member and be Friends With Karma. Juried via a peer review process, this exhibition explores the processes by which artists support, sustain and participate in the launch of each other’s work. The top ranking submissions will form a group exhibition at Pro Arts, presenting a survey of contemporary art arrived at through a community process. The program allows insight into review processes, while encouraging artists to think critically about their own work within the scope of Bay Area art.

About the peer review process:

Based on a peer review model, artists who submit work for consideration for the exhibition will be asked to review at least 50 other submissions (via Pro Arts’ online ‘blind’ review system) and make selections based on designated criteria.
Peer Review Criteria:

+ Artwork demonstrates merit, excellence, innovation, and relevance.
+ View the Friends With Karma FAQ for more information.

Current Membership (through end of exhibition) is required for entry. Membership is open to all. Artists can join/renew membership at time of online registration.
