3rd Annual Holiday Salon: The More the Merrier
For California artists

CALL TO ARTISTS: ALL MEDIAS ENCOURAGED…painters, designers, glass workers, jewelry makers, fiber artists, illustrators, mixed media artists, sculptors, and more!

Deadline for Submission: Midnight on Sunday, October 5, 2014

In the tradition of the French ‘salon-style’ art show, this exhibition will fill the entire gallery! Selected artists are invited to exhibit as much artwork as they can fit within their allocated space. A Unique aspect of the show – you can replace sold pieces as they sell!!! Artists are requested to price artwork under $200 as the purpose of this show is to market to holiday shoppers, clear out your studio, put cash in your pocket, and create more studio space for your new work in the new year!


Submission must include 5 – 7 images of your artwork to represent the style/medium you intend to exhibit.
These images will be juried by a selection committee for inclusion in the show.
There is no submission fee.

Files must be formatted as a PDF file. Submissions with individual images will be deleted.
We encourage you to title the file with your name.
We really appreciate submissions by dropbox or google drive.
Acceptance: Selected artists will be notified no later than Friday, October 11th

ArtExchange encourages a $50 contribution/hanging fee for exhibiting artists.
Artists are given up to 3-4 ft wide/5-8 ft. tall of wall space and up to 1-3 ft wide/5-8 ft. high of floor space to install their piece(s). Space given to artists will be determined by curators from the Exhibitions Committee.
All work must remain on display for the duration of the exhibit. The ArtExchange reserves the right to store artwork as needed for scheduled events.
Opening and closing night: Opening night is Saturday, November 8th from 6-9p.m. Closing night is Thursday, January 15th. Artists are requested to attend and promote events to their patrons.

Artist Sales: All work in this show MUST be for sale. The ArtExchange is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting arts in Long Beach. ArtX encourages a donation of 20% of the proceeds from sold artwork.

Drop off date: Drop-off dates will be included with acceptance notices, however please plan to have artwork ready for delivery in the last two weeks of October. Artwork that is not exhibit ready (appropriately framed or mounted, pedestals/glassed if necessary, wired, and labeled on back with name of artist, title, medium, and price) upon delivery will not accepted. The gallery reserves the right not to display every selected submission.

Shipping & Delivery: Artist is responsible for transit of accepted artwork to the ArtExchange. Work must be professionally packed for safe shipping. Works must arrive on or before the show’s listed intake dates. You must arrange your work is to be picked up by the listed date.
Liability: The ArtExchange assumes no liability for theft, loss, fire or destruction of any kind to any and all exhibited artwork, storage crates or other related items, however caused, throughout the duration of this Agreement. By signing the Exhibition Contract, the artist acknowledges an understanding and agreement with the ArtExchange exhibition policy and requirements.

De-Installation/Art Pick Up: Date will be announced, however prepare to pick up your artwork within the last two weeks of January. Artwork will become property of the ArtExchange if not retrieved after 60 days of notified pick-up date.
