Artist Call: STAR Education’s African American Arts Festival

Searching for Artists/Artisans to Participate in STAR Education’s 14th Annual African American Art Festival!

STAR Education, a charitable 501(c)(3) non-profit education organization that was selected as a “Model Program” by the White House and the US Department of Education, is hosting its 14th Annual African American Art Festival on Saturday, February 22, 2014. This event is a an outdoor festival and fundraiser to support STAR educational programs serving areas from South Los Angeles to North Ventura counties.

STAR is seeking local artists/artisans to submit their original artwork or wares represented or inspired by African American culture to display and sell. Artwork can include paintings, drawing, ceramics, photography, etc.

For submissions, please email submissions or questions to Submission deadline is February 14, 2014. Artists selected to participate will be notified immediately upon selection. 10% of artist sales go to STAR Education as a tax-deductible donation to support STAR educational programs.
