HAND DELIVER ACCEPTED WORK

Friday & Saturday, April 25 – 26, 2014, 10 AM – 4 PM. All work must be hand-delivered to PAL. No shipped work will be accepted.

PICK UP WORK

Friday & Saturday, May 30-31, 2014, 10 AM–4 PM

SUBMISSION PROCESS

Submit your artwork electronically at www.OnlineJuriedShows.com. Format images in TIFF, BMP, JPG, or PNG, no less than 800 pixels long.

ENTRY FEE

Members: $25 for 2 entries, $5 for each additional entry. Non-members: $35 for 2 entries, $10 for each additional entry.

SELECTION NOTIFICATION

Wednesday, April 16th, 2014 by email. Award winners are announced at First Friday, May 2nd event.

EXHIBITION GUIDELINES

-Open to all photographers in the pacific region
-All work must be original and not previously exhibited at Pacific Art League.
-All work must be ready to hang with proper hanging device.
-All work must be for sale. Members receive 70% commission. Non-members receive 60%.
-Size of work limited to 40” on longest side, including frame.
-All work must be labeled on the front and back with artist’s name, title, medium, size and price.

JUROR

Brian Taylor is currently a professor of Photography in the Department of Art and Art History at California State University, San Jose, and has taught for over 20 years at various institutions including UC Santa Cruz, UC Berkeley, Stanford University and Carnegie Mellon University. He is known for his innovative use of alternative photographic processes and explorations in historical 19th century printing techniques, mixed media, and hand-made books. He has received grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Polaroid Corporation. His work is exhibited internationally and is part of the permanent collections of the Biblotheque Nationale (Paris), Victoria and Albert Museum (London), San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and International Museum of Photography at the George Eastman House (Rochester, NY). In addition, his work has been featured in publications including American Photographer, Photo Asia, Exploring Color Photography, Photographic Possibilities, and Artworks.
