Entries for MarinMOCA Summer National Juried Exhibition will be accepted starting 02/13/2012. Deadline for digital entries 04/20/2012. Open to all U.S. resident artists 18 and over. You are invited to submit up to 5 digital images of your original works completed in the past two years, not previously shown in a MarinMOCA or Artists of MarinMOCA show. Open to all media except video and film. Only online entries with digitally uploaded images will be accepted. Digital entries must be RECEIVED via online application on or before midnight, FRIDAY, April 20, 2012. Notification will be by online list of accepted artwork and via e-mail.


JUROR: Lucinda Barnes, Chief Curator & Director of Programs & Collections, Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive since 2007, who joined the B.A.M. staff as Senior Curator for Collections in April 2001. Prior to coming to Berkeley, Barnes was E.D. of the Boise Art Museum, Curator of Collections at M.O.C.A. in Chicago, Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at Allen Memorial Art Museum at Oberlin College, and held senior curatorial posts at Newport Harbor Art Museum and University Art Museum, CSU Long Beach. At B.A.M Barnes has curated and co-curated exhibitions including Joan Jonas: the Shape, the Scent, the Feel of Things and Abstract Expressionisms, and was curator-in-charge of major traveling exhibitions such as Enrique Chagoya: Borderlandia, What’s It All Mean: William T. Wiley in Retrospect, and Kurt Schwitters: Color and Collage.
