Public Works’ Roll Up Gallery presents: “In Heaven, Everything Is Fine: Art Inspired by the Work of Director David Lynch”

Want to show SF how much you love Lynch? For that matter, can you capture the essence of ‘Eraserhead’ in a painting? Perfect! Well we here at Public Works Roll Up Gallery (http://publicsf.com/gallery) are having a Halloween exhibition featuring artwork inspired by the work of David Lynch — Yes, David Lynch — and are seeking entries from local and up-and-coming artists. The best 2 submissions we receive will not only be featured alongside other amazing Lynch-inspired masterpieces, but they will also be displayed on the Public Work’s website and be available for purchase to the public! Opening night will be Friday, October 26th from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m., followed directly by a ghoulish DJ performance in the main event space.

Rules & Restrictions :
Supported work may be executed on, but not limited to, pastel, ink, collage, paper, fabric, watercolor, canvas or illustration board.
Sorry, due to limited accommodations, no sculptures will be accepted.
Work must have been completed since January of 2012.
Work must be original and not previously shown in San Francisco exhibits.
Work must not be any larger than 48″ in any given direction (framed).
The artist is must be present for the artwork’s hanging by Oct 25th at 10 a.m. as well as the take-down and removal of artwork by Monday, November 12th at 10 a.m.
Please submit high quality images (jpeg, tiff, png, or pdf) of up to 3 pieces, including the name, dimensions and materials of your completed Lynchian work(s) to the provided email address no later than Sept 20th by 10 a.m. (Tip: Early birds get the worm – we do appreciate enthusiasm)
