ABOUT THE JUROR
Donna Napper has worked in the contemporary art profession for nearly twelve years including seven as owner of den contemporary, a Los Angeles gallery she opened in 2004. The gallery featured emerging to midcareer artists who are based all across the globe, and often presented artists’ Los Angeles and United States-debut exhibitions. Donna served on numerous committees and panels for the Los Angeles art community, among them Executive Committee Member of ArtTable, a national organization for women leaders in the visual arts, and Founding Member and Publicity Chair for the Contemporary Craft Council at the Craft and Folk Art Museum. Before closing the gallery to move to the Bay Area, Donna organized BOOM 2012, an exhibition featuring 90 artists from ten Southern California graduate programs. In November 2012, she assumed the Curator position at the ICA. Recently she served as juror and panelist for several Bay Area venues such as Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, Root Division, Chandra Cerrito Contemporary, and Silicon Valley Arts Council.
