Artist Call: Art on the Wharf in Monterey, CA

Art on the Wharf – October 1, 2011

Art on the Wharf is continuing the tradition of professional and aspiring local artists of all ages in a multitude of mediums: painting, video, pottery, papercuts, metal work, sculpture, photography and performing artists.

The plan is to have artists offer their works for sale and it is necessary that the artist or his/her representative maintains a presence during the hours of the event.

The plan is to showcase the artworks in selected areas on the Wharf and on the Causeway between the Wharf and the Monterey Museum (Stanton Center). Some pieces will be displayed in two inside “galleries” on the Wharf. The works displayed in the two galleries will be juried.

Art on the Wharf is intended to dovetail with Art in the Adobes which will be held in downtown Monterey on September 30, and October 1st & 2nd and is sponsored by the Old Monterey Business Association Foundation.

  • Event time is 10am to 8pm
