Darkness Visible is a collection of four short documentary essay films, engaging the moving image representations of boxers Jack Johnson and Muhammad Ali, and two events in American prison history, the suffocation of eight convicts at a prison plantation in Texas in 1913, and the uprising of inmates at New York’s Attica prison in 1971.
