Combining an academic colloquium with a landmark production of the Ghanian play Anowa by the UCSB Theater and Dance department, our project uses the theoretical perspectives on Diaspora to explore how histories of trauma and migration have impacted African and Diasporic women’s life choices, sexual identities, and family dynamics.
